PRIVACY POLICY

This policy explains how we, Couture Carousel Limited (hereinafter referred to as "CC", "we", "us", or "our"), use the personal information you provide to us when accessing or using any part of the Platform whether or not you become a registered user ("Member") of the Platform (as defined below). Please read this Privacy Policy and understand it before using our services. By visiting and/or using our Platform, you agree and, where required, consent to the collection, use and transfer of your information as set out in this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is effective upon acceptance for new users and is otherwise effective on 1 January 2018.

  1. Definitions
  2. "Non-Personal Information" is information that is not personally identifiable to you and that we automatically collect when you access our Website with a web browser. It may also include publicly available information that is shared between you and others.

    "Personally Identifiable Information" is non-public information that is personally identifiable to you and obtained in order for us to provide you within our Website. Personally Identifiable Information may include information such as your name, email address, and other related information that you provide to us or that we obtain about you.

    "Platform" means the Services and the Site.

    "Services" means those services provided by CC to its Members.

    "Site" means www.couturecarousel.com and any other websites (including any applications for mobile, tablet and other smart devices and application program interfaces) through which we make the Services available.

  3. Information We Collect
  4. We will collect personal information from you when you use our Services, order goods from us or use or access our Platform. We also collect information when you complete any customer survey. Site usage information may also be collected using cookies (as defined below). We will collect information that personally identifies you and/or your location, where required (this may include, but is not limited to, your name, email address, postal address, telephone number, credit or debit card information, geolocation, etc.), but only when you voluntarily give it to us. We collect this information exclusively to carry out the functions offered on the Platform and to provide you with offers and information about CC and other services we think you may be interested in. We might collect this personal information through: placing orders or requests; entry into competitions; subscribing to our newsletter; creating a user account; sending messages or other correspondence through the Platform; or through advertising, research and direct marketing. We do not collect sensitive information about you.

    We collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Site ("Log Data"). This Log Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Website that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.

  5. Cookies

Some of the information collected will not personally identify you but will instead track your use of the Site so that we can better understand how the Site is used by customers and in turn enhance and improve your experience when using our Platform. Cookies are files with small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier, that recognises and identifies your device and allows your device to 'remember' information from the Site for future use. We may collect technical information from your mobile device or your use of our Services through a mobile device, for example, location data and certain characteristics of, and performance data about your device, carrier/operating system including device and connection type, IP address, mobile payment methods, interaction with other retail technology such as use of NFC Tags, QR Codes or use of mobile vouchers. We may obtain this information by use of cookies. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Site.

  7. Third Party Tracking Tools
  8. We also use third party tracking tools to improve the performance and features of our Platform. These third party tracking tools are designed to collect only Non-Personal Information about your use of our Platform. However, you understand that such tools are created and managed by parties outside our control. As such, we are not responsible for what information is actually captured by such third parties or how such third parties use and protect that information.

    We use Remarketing with Google Analytics to advertise on third party sites to you after you have visited our Site. We and our third party vendors, like Google, use first party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to inform, optimize and serve ads based on your past visits to our Site.

    You can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize the Google Display Network ads by visiting the Google Ads Settings page. Google also recommends installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on for your browser. Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on provides visitors with the ability to prevent their data from being collected and used by Google Analytics.

  9. Automatic Information
  10. We automatically receive information from your web browser or mobile device. This information includes the name of the website from which you entered our Site, if any, as well as the name of the website to which you're headed when you leave our Site. This information also includes the IP address of your computer/proxy server that you use to access the internet, your internet website provider name, web browser type, type of mobile device, and computer operating system. We use all of this information to analyze trends among our users to help improve our Platform.

  11. Storage and Security
  12. The security of your personal information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

    We will use all reasonable endeavours to maintain the security of your personal information and to protect your personal information from misuse, interference and loss and against unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We will destroy any personal information we hold about you which we no longer require under the terms of this Privacy Policy. Where you have chosen a password to access certain Services of the Platform, you are responsible for keeping your password confidential. We recommend not sharing your password with anyone. Due to the nature of the internet, we do not provide any guarantee or warranty regarding the security of your personal information during transmission to us or storage by us and you acknowledge that you disclose your personal information to us at your own risk. Please contact us immediately if you become aware or have reason to believe there has been any unauthorised use of your personal information in connection with the Platform.

  13. Use of Information Collected
  14. You consent and agree that we may collect and use your personal information for processing and delivering any order placed on the Site and any other Service provided through the Platform. In particular you expressly consent that we may disclose your personal information, including your name, email address, physical address and telephone number to couriers delivering your order, either employed by us or by third parties providing services to us. You consent to us using your personal information for advertising and direct marketing purposes in order to inform you about the Platform, or other matters that we believe will be of interest to you.

    We may disclose your personal information, and you consent to the disclosure of your personal information, to: a) third parties engaged by us or other members of our group to perform functions or provide products and services on our behalf such as processing payments, credit card information, mail outs, debt collection, research, statistical information, marketing and direct or indirect advertising; and b) our advertisers, agents, business partners, and associates located both in and outside Hong Kong who may wish to send you information about their products and services. If you would like to unsubscribe from receiving direct marketing communications from us at anytime or you do not want us to share your personal information with other parties, please email us at admin@couturecarousel.com or follow the steps to unsubscribe which are presented in every communication you receive from us, requesting your personal information be removed from our mailing list.

    We will use reasonable endeavours to comply with your request within a reasonable period of receipt of your request. Please note that the withdrawal of any authorisations for processing of your personal information by third parties may result in us not being able to provide you with any services. We reserve the right to disclose your personal information if we are required or authorised to do so by law, or, if it is reasonably necessary in our opinion to protect the rights or property of CC or any third party, or to avoid injury to any person. If our business is sold or merges with another entity then some or all of your personal information may be passed to a third party.

  15. Information You Share On The Platform
  16. Your Member ID and username is displayed throughout the Platform (and so available to the public), and is connected to all of your activity via the Platform. Other people can see certain aspects of your activity on the Site, feedback, ratings and associated comments. You may adjust your privacy settings on the Site. Notices sent to other community Members about suspicious activity and policy violations on our Site refer to Member IDs and specific items. So if you associate your name with your Member ID, the people to whom you have revealed your name will be able to personally identify your activities on the Platform.

  17. Using Information From The Platform
  18. We enable you to share certain personal and financial information to complete transactions. We encourage you to disclose your privacy practices and respect the privacy of other Members. We cannot guarantee the privacy or security of your information and therefore we encourage you to evaluate the privacy and security policies of your trading partner before entering into a transaction and choosing to share your information. To help protect your privacy, we allow only limited access to other Members' contact, shipping and financial information to facilitate your transactions. When users are involved in a transaction, they may have access to each other's name, Member ID, email address and other contact and shipping information. In all cases, you must comply with data protection laws, and give other users a chance to remove themselves from your database and a chance to review what information you have collected about them.

    You agree to use user information only for transaction-related purposes via the Platform that are not unsolicited commercial messages, using services offered through the Platform, or other purposes that a Member expressly chooses.

  19. Access to your information
  20. Please contact us if you would like to access the personal information we hold about you. We will use reasonable endeavours to provide a complete list of your personal information within a reasonable period of receipt of your request. Please email us at admin@couturecarousel.com, if you would like to receive a copy of this information. We reserve the right to charge a nominal fee for the processing of this request in accordance with local legislation. You may contact us to correct any of your personal information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out-of-date, or to request that your personal information be deleted. We will use reasonable endeavours to correct or delete your personal information as requested within a reasonable period of receipt of your request. Deletion of your account with us will not automatically delete the personal information held about you. If you would like us to delete all personal information together with the deletion of your account, please follow the steps mentioned-above. Please note that the deletion of your personal information from our database will result in us not being able to provide you with any Services. If applicable, any legal requirement on us to maintain certain records of your personal information shall prevail over any of your requests. We may require you to prove your identity before providing you with copies of your personal information.

  21. Changes to our Privacy Policy
  22. We reserve the right to alter all or any part of this Privacy Policy. Any changes thereto will be notified via the Site and, where appropriate, through email notification. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.

  24. Our Platform may have links to other websites. This privacy policy only applies to the Platform. You should therefore read the privacy policies of the other websites when you are using those sites. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.
